St. Patrick pray for us.
Ironically, it was on the Feast of St. Patrick
that the laity received the very bad news that they were no longer welcome
at any Mass in the Diocese of Rochester.
St. Patrick, great missionary to the people of God, pray for us.
Bishop Matano has banned anyone but the priest and deacon
from all Masses, Latin and English, due to coronavirus.
We will suspend listing the usual Latin Mass schedule until Masses are resumed.
Pray for all those who are without the Mass, for whatever reason.
We will also suspend the Latin Mass portion of the ticker during this time.

It was the first time I’d been to St. Rose. What a beautiful and a very special accompaniment to a Solemn High Latin Mass. As people entered the church there were gasps at the beauty. Thank you to Fr. Michael Fowler, Pastor, for hosting a TLM (Traditional Latin Mass.)
I never cease to be amazed at the (very) young boys being able to serve their part in the Sanctuary. No wonder the exposure they get to the priestly vocation bears fruit. It seems to me that they ‘grow’ on the spot into a role beyond their years!
Of course Father Peter Van Lieshout, celebrant, again presided over a liturgy of incredible dignity and beauty. The Latin/English translation sheet was very helpful in ‘keeping up’ with the treasury of prayer for the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter.
Fr. Matthew Walter’s Sermon was also riveting and raised our attention to how very much we need the Church. I hope it was recorded.
I received the following email today:
“I had the opportunity to go to the Latin Mass at Saint Rose in Lima. It was Beautiful.
I wanted to share the following information:
A missa cantata is scheduled for 7:00 PM for the feast of Saint Joseph [March 19th] at Our Lady of Mercy parish in Leroy NY, which is served by the Mercedarian order. Although it is in the Buffalo Diocese I thought you might have some one interested.”
God Bless,
L.S.
