I can’t help but notice that many (most?) of the bishops and cardinals who are speaking truth to power in this matter bear the title “Emeritus.” Are our bishops and cardinals so in fear of the Holy Father that, until their resignation has been accepted, they remain silent in the face of the travesty that is the Holy Father’s intentions behind chapter 8 of Amoris? Where are their backbones? Are a cushy lifestyle and the trappings of position more important than speaking the truth? God bless those who are speaking truth, who are defending 2000 years of Tradition and the firm and very recent teachings of St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict, which this pontiff seems hellbent on expunging.
