Light Another Candle — August 2014 — Theft of Eucharist

Christian, a well-known commenter in the Cleansing Fire Community, has asked for us to “Light Another Candle” regarding the threatened satanic “Mass” in Oklahoma next month.  It is sometimes difficult to know when giving attention to evil (which seeks its own attention, and seeks to disturb souls) is the right thing, or the wrong thing, to do. But the call from a Catholic Bishop to pray earnestly on this matter, tips the scale toward publicity for prayer (rather than giving publicity to evil.)

Accordingly, I am moving Christian’s comments regarding this matter to this post, and wish to do so in a way which minimizes sensationalism, avoids attention on individuals seeking their own attention. Thus, we won’t be posting any pictures of any satanic “Mass” and will be calling it a “Mass” in quotes to  show it is a mimic, a fake, a “so-called,” as opposed to Holy Mass. (It is why women “priests” and same-sex “marriage” should also be in quotes.) The call is for our prayer to stop the event and to prevent sacrilege. It is a call to honor God, not out of any fear of evil (because we know that Jesus Christ has completely defeated the evil one) but out of our Love for God, the source of all Goodness, Truth and Beauty.  We’re just asking that additional comments be kept in that same sense.  We will edit if needed to use the above proposed guidelines. Readers comments are most welcome.  Prayers are especially welcome!

Here is what Christian wrote:

“I became aware of this event and the appropriate outrage after first clicking on a link that Ben Anderson had given for St. John the Beloved in McLean, Virginia. There is a satanic black “Mass” scheduled for Sunday, September 21st, 2014, 7 P.M. at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall.  There are tickets being sold for this blasphemous, evil event. In a black “Mass”, there is a mockery and inversion of the Holy Mass, and an illicitly obtained consecrated host is desecrated in obscene and vulgar ways – the sponsor states the consecrated host is “corrupted by sexual fluids.” The mockery of the Holy Mass and the desecration of Holy Communion “is designed to receive a blessing from satan.”

The following link is to the PDF of the Letter sent out by Archbishop Paul Coakley. http://www.stjohncatholicmclean.org/home-page-articles/spiritual-battle/call-to-prayer-to-avert-black-mass/ He is asking for Catholics, other Christians, and people of goodwill to help. He has asked us to pray to St. Michael the Archangel as well as lodge complaints to the Mayor of Oklahoma City, the Honorable Mick Cornett. If this black “Mass”  is still held, that bishop has asked Catholics, other Christians, and people of good will to join him in a Holy Hour, outdoor Eucharistic Procession, and Benediction at St. Francis of Assisi in Oklahoma at 7 P.M. and for others to hold a Holy Hour of Prayer and Benediction at their parish at the same hour the black “Mass” is scheduled to begin. Oklahoma is one hour behind us, so it would be 8 P.M. our time in the Rochester area. I think we should be holding a Holy Hour of Prayer and Benediction, hopefully at our parishes.

It’s Spiritual Warfare! A satanic black “Mass” was scheduled at Harvard and, after much battle done by Catholics, other Christians, and people of good will, they were eventually able to get it cancelled. Below is a link to an article in National Catholic Register written by Fr. Roger Landry describing the current situation and how he and others were able to stop the May 12th, 2014 satanic black “Mass” from being held on Harvard’s campus.

Parishioners in Oklahoma have already been fasting and praying, and they have been asked to say one decade of the rosary and the prayer to St. Michael daily. Priests are asked to pray the Leonine prayer written by Pope Leo XIII.

Perhaps I should just stay in church all day on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 if the black “Mass” is still taking place. Meanwhile, I will be fasting and praying and I hope others will join me.  I hope the Latin Mass Community will do something.  I hope the parishes throughout our Diocese will do something.”

Diane adds:  If you have never read the short book “The Screwtape Letters” this might be an excellent time to do so. We know that satan can do nothing without God’s permissive will allowing it.  We know that Christ has already won the battle. But He gives us opportunities to show how much we love Him through our prayer and concern.  It is how He transforms the evil one’s machinations into our praise for God!  Isn’t it amazing!  What is also amazing is that there would be no black “Mass” and no purpose for one, without the minions of evil believing in the Divine Eucharistic Presence!  They can do nothing against God without it being further proof of their belief in God’s omnipotence! Praise God!

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

I just received this email from Catholicvote.org CV is asking us to pray the St. Michael the Archangel prayer for the next 5 days. We can do that!
Below is a copy of the article.

SPECIAL NOTE: Jesus called us to be as wise as serpents, innocent as doves. In this case, my friend Michael Caspino might be wiser than the serpents. Please read this important guest message from the attorney representing Archbishop Coakley in the fight over the planned Black Mass in Oklahoma.

    Dear CV Friend,

Have you heard about the “Black Mass” that a Satanist group has planned for next month in Oklahoma City?

The fake mass mocking our Faith is bad enough. But the Satanic group behind it has bragged that they have a consecrated host and intend to use it.

    This must be stopped.

My own prayer and consultation with legal friends prompted an idea. So today I filed a lawsuit on behalf of Oklahoma City Archbishop Paul Coakley demanding that that consecrated host be returned to the Church immediately.

The lawsuit is simple: a consecrated host only comes from the Catholic Church. Satanists acquired the host by theft or fraud – both of which are illegal ways of acquiring property. That means that the Satanists have a legal obligation to return the stolen property.

    And guess what…

The judge has already ordered the Satanists not to destroy the host.

Furthermore, the lawsuit demands that the Satanists return the consecrated host to Archbishop Coakley in 5 days — or the judge may order them to do so.

In our lawsuit, Archbishop Coakley explains that not only is the consecrated host the rightful property of the Catholic Church, it is literally priceless. No value can be placed on the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ.

So this is where you come in…

I’m willing to fight these black mass efforts with the law anywhere and everywhere they pop up.

But I also know there’s one thing that Archbishop Coakley would want you to do: Pray.

The Saint Michael prayer is the prayer he has asked Catholics everywhere to pray to win this fight. Will you join me in praying this prayer for the next 5 days?

    St. Michael the Archangel,
    defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
    and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan,
    and all the evil spirits,
    who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Simply hit reply to this email to let Brian and the CatholicVote.org team know you are praying.

I will let the Archbishop know that you are praying for him, and the Church in Oklahoma City.

    For the Faith,

    Michael W. Caspino, J.D.

Thank you so much Diane for posting this and also including the Prayer to St. Michael.

Gratitude also goes out to you Choir for informing us of the legal action taken on behalf of Archbishop Paul Coakley asking for the group planning to hold this Black “Mass” to return the consecrated host to Archbishop Paul Coakley within 5 days. You are correct, we can all pray the Prayer to St. Michael for the next 5 days.

A relative who is a Cloistered Carmelite nun in Oklahoma, called last night and relayed this proposed event. We relayed we had already found out. She said in parishes throughout Oklahoma, the Prayer to St. Michael is recited after every Mass. I suggest that we ask our individual parishes to pray the St. Michael Prayer after Mass. I think this would also be a good time to show our Love for Jesus by Adoration of the Holy Eucharist, where we can also do reparation and pray for souls.

    GOOD NEWS!

    Dear CV Friend,

The Consecrated Host is back in the hands of Archbishop Coakley and the Catholic Church.

    Deo Gratias!

Additionally, the Satanists have agreed to sign a statement saying that they will not use a Consecrated Host in a black mass – if it happens.

    Talk about a great victory!

I work in politics. There are many important battles on Capitol Hill, in our federal courts, and at the ballot box.

But I’ll be totally honest: This victory is perhaps the most important one of them all!

The Satanists thought they had us against the ropes. It’s a public forum and we couldn’t stop them from performing their “ceremony.” They even went so far as to brag about having a Consecrated Host!

But that’s where they crossed the line.

Our friend, attorney Michael Caspino, sprung into action. Lifted by the prayers of Catholics all across the country – and with the support of Archbishop Coakley — Caspino fought back against the Satanists in court.

And we won. We won for Jesus.

The Satanists might still hold a black mass, but promised that they won’t do so with a Consecrated Host. So let’s continue praying to Saint Michael, in thanksgiving for his powerful intercession.

    Brian

I thank St. Michael the Archangel for his powerful intercession!

But the part of about the Satanists promising not to use a Consecrated Host in their Black “Mass” – I personally would not count on the promises of those who worshiped Satan.

I think we still have to pray for this Black “Mass” to be cancelled. We need to pray for the redemption of those in this group and others who worship Satan, and all those who might be vulnerable to their message and actions.

Our best combat is prayer and fasting, and praising God!
Let us continue to Pray to St. Michael the Archangel, Honor Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and Praise God!

    Blessed be God.
    Blessed be His Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
Blessed be the name of Jesus.
Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart.
Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the paraclete.
Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy.
Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception.
    Blessed be her glorious Assumption.
Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.
Blessed be Saint Joseph, her most chaste spouse.
Blessed be God in His angels and in His Saints.

May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time. Amen.
