A small church illuminated –visually and spiritually– by candle light, scripture readings, hymns and motets was an oasis of warmth in the frigid arctic blast that was the evening of the Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord.
The weather could not keep a small group from gathering for a service of Lessons and Carols prayed by the Fellowship of Saint Alban in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Henrietta. The Fellowship is the local presence of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter, Anglicans and others who have reconciled with the Catholic Church but who worship in the tradition of Anglican ceremonial.
I was in attendance at the Service but wished I had my camcorder with me instead of my point and shoot camera that has only an imitation video mode.
Clips that I captured from the service are available on the Fellowship’s website.
