In the interest of fairness, here is a reaction from some liberal nut; pretend bishop Bridget Mary Meehan of the “Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests.”
“We are witnessing a “holy shakeup” in the Roman Catholic Church. The Pope’s resignation is a positive sign that the Spirit is at work renewing the church. Roman Catholic Women Priests are leading the way to a more open, inclusive church where all are welcome to receive sacraments. It is time for the Roman Catholic Church to follow Jesus’s example of Gospel equality and accept women as equals and partners in the Gospel. The people of God are the church and the majority will welcome Benedict’s resignation. “

Whatever. Love the shabby chic vestments. Thankfully she and her kind have nothing to do with the selection of the next Pope who will, no surprise, be a Catholic and not a Roman Protestant.
We need to continue our prayers to the Father Almighty that the Cardinals vote wisely for the sake of God’s Holy Church. May the Lord Bless the Pope, and give us a good Shepherd to succeed him.
She doesn’t deserve this space, at such a Holy Moment in the service of a Holy Man. Wing-nuts to the dust pile, please.
With the next election, she may start to miss Benedict XVI. May it be so!

How very unfortunate that there are supposedly intelligent people who take this nonsense seriously and pass it along as worthy of consideration.
Why are we topping the beautiful articles about Pope Benedict XVI and Bishop Cunningham, and giving first attention to this dribble????
