The Spirit of Vatican II is Contagious

February 28th, 2011, Promulgated by Dr. K

Look… a local Lutheran community has caught the disease!

Is it a bad sign that when I first saw this photograph I thought it was a Diocese of Rochester parish?

It’s the Cat in the Hat service!

“Why hello Sally! After service, I will balance an umbrella, a Fish, a rake, some Irish creme and a cake while standing on a ball as I recite Luther’s 95 theses! Stick around!”

Notice how he is holding their communion in his hand. It used to be that our Catholic Eucharist was always held in a sacred gold lined ciborium. Now in the DoR all kinds of vessels are used that portray the Eucharist as less than sacred. Will it be that we will slide to a such a state as this image?

    I hear you!

When I looked at the picture, I thought I was looking at an IHM Nun or something similar—then I read this was a Lutheran! You are so right! It is getting pretty bad when you look at something like this and assume before you see any information that this is something Catholic!
