Perry to Rochester? Thomas Peters says “Yes!”

As previously reported here, we have heard rumblings that Bishop Joseph Perry, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago,  could be named the next Bishop of Rochester.  Now, Thomas Peters has reported that this may happen as early as this morning.  Other Cleansing Fire staff members have heard from the good Bishop, whose Facebook page surprisingly disappeared yesterday.  His Excellency “[did] not want to confirm or deny” this rumor, but stated that “it’s a process going on.”  Whatever the case, Cleansing Fire will keep you posted as information becomes available.

If this is the case, it will be a cause for great rejoicing.

    23 years, 1 month, and 1 day…could it really be that i’ll finally know a second bishop?
