There will be a Mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Saturday, January 22, at 4:30 PM.
Fr. William Leone will preside. This Mass fulfills your Sunday obligation, so be sure to go and be present for what is sure to be a very special Mass!
- I rejoiced when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
- And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem. Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.
- Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
- Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David. For the peace of Jerusalem pray: “May those who love you prosper! May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers.” For family and friends I say, “May peace be yours.”For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, “May blessings be yours.”
Psalm 122

What is the reason for this joyous occasion?
Man, how’d they pull this one off? (I’ll see if I can be counted in on this–it’s the weekend before the March, so getting churched on a Saturday would be great.)
Maybe too many former STA members are attending Mass outside of Irondequoit and Fr. Tanck & Co. are trying to keep them from settling down in new homes?
Getting churched? Is that like getting schooled?
STA parishioners have appeared to have left the new parish if the collection is any indication. The St. Salome collection beats the St. Thomas collection on a weekly basis. And the new parish is way behind in the CMA.
The Knights of Columbus, Msgr Richard K Burns chapter, asked Fr. Tanck if they could have a Mass (will satisfy Sunday obligation) at STA with a Past Grand Knight’s dinner following in the STA hall. Fr. Leone will be the celebrant.
