  1. Bernie says:

    Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Thank you.

  2. Dr. K says:

    Beautiful!

Plenty of people in the center and right seating!

  3. Mike says:

My count came out at 210, plus the schola and servers.

  4. Gen says:

Spectacular! I think the high attendance should have been a signal to the powers that be that, perhaps, people are more inclined towards Gregorian Chant and solemnity than Marty Haugen and rainsticks.

  5. Bernie says:

    That’s an amazing turnout!

  6. Sfomo says:

It was a beautiful service and I am sure Msgr. Burns was smiling down on us.

  7. Jonathan Gillenson says:

It was such an honor and blessing to be a benediction server for this. Fr. B’s remarks about the priesthood were excellent! God bless that man and his faithful witness. God bless our seminarians. God bless our discerners. And lastly, God bless those who are or will consider discernment.

  8. La Sandia says:

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Fr. Bonsignore presided over my wedding last year (Extraordinary Form). He is truly a voice crying out in the wilderness in Rochester, and I hope that God may call more like him to the priesthood.

  9. Anonymous says:

    Tantum ergo sacramentum
    Veneremur cernui!

    O Magnum Mysterium!

  10. RochChaCha says:

Words really cannot describe just how beautiful this service was. That was my first time hearing Fr. Bonsignore preach. It was like St. Jerome who really cut to the chase and said yes when he meant yes and no when he meant no. Charity and clarity in the wonderful sermon from Father. May the Lord bless Father Bonsignore and the parishioners of STA as well as our discerners, seminarians, and priests.

  11. Sister Emily says:

OH MY GOODNESS!! This service was so beautiful. I am so glad I was able to atttend. How proud the parents of the altar servers must be to see their sons particapating in such an important service as this. Some were so young and they ALL did a wonderful job. I am sure they were honored to be asked to serve at such a beautiful reverend service as this. We are so blessed to have a Priest like Father Bonsignore whose legacy is and will be remembered as one who made a differnce at a difficult time in a difficult city.
Mike I cannot tell you how many times I have watched the slide show.(thanks for keeping me out of the pictures.) I know your hard work and talents are much appreciated. I have showed the slide show to everyone in my office and all were taken back at the beauty of the pictures. Thanks.

    These photos are absolutely beautiful.
In one last appeal, why not send them to every news channel, every bishop, every priest, every Orthodox Catholic blogger out there?
I still can’t believe that no one in the entire world can do anything to stop this closure.

Anon. 9:41 – and anyone else interested,

This is shocking! Where are the nuns in albs? Where are the dancers? WHY is there a tabernacle in plain sight…and was there Latin used? Absurd. This is not what Vatican II called for!

Why can’t Bishop Clark see that orthodoxy and tradition is what Vatican II called for? The Benediction looked absolutely beautiful! I wish I could have been there!
    God Bless +

  15. DLH says:

The Rosary and Benediction at STA was spectacular! I am so thankful for all who made this grace filled evening possible. Instead of dumbing down our faith Fr. B, with all those wonderful young men, gave us an evening of profound prayer that reflected the true majesty and splendor of our Church. Next to the grandeur of our Church the agenda of those who would close STA looked small and insignificant. I am sure this is an evening that will bear much fruit.

  16. Sister Emily says:

I believe this will go down in history as one of the best things that has happend during Bishop Clarks time. It is too bad he was not there to feel and see the holy spirit at work.

  17. Nerina says:

Absolutely glorious! Glory and Praise to our loving and ever-merciful God. “Fruits” will definitely be harvested from this evening!
