It’s about time. Now does that mean that parishes like Peace of Christ have to stop using the Canadian RSV all inclusive version and start using the new Roman Missal?
I can’t comment upon what may or may not be used there, but I think that all parishes should have to use the new translation. I am not aware of there being an “inclusive language” version in the works.
Dr. K, They do use (now) a missal that has gender neutral readings in it. I’ve been to Mass at St. Ambrose, and the readings didn’t correspond to my Vatican II Sunday Missal. No other churches that I’ve attended has had contradicting Mass readings.
The Canadian RSV is already disapproved for liturgical use. We don’t need the new translation to forbid it.
In our diocese we do. Bishop Clark allows churches to do whatever makes them feel good.
