Turns out Buddhism is not compatible with Catholicism. Who knew? I suppose it’s because it’s foreign to us that makes Buddhism so romantic and enticing to us westerners. Do you feel something lacking in your spirituality? Instead of looking outside of the Church, you should first look w/in because as Fr. John Trigilio, Jr., PhD, ThD states in the audio clip:
“There isn’t one thing you need in your spiritual life that the Catholic Church doesn’t provide for.”

John Safran is no friend of Christians, so I can’t recommend anything else by him. But this segment ripping on Westerner’s ignorance is well worth the watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kstH-8jwa80
“Instead of looking outside of the Church, you should first look win”
How true. Most of my friends and relatives who have ‘left’ the Church really have no idea what they left behind. They have no real knowledge of the Faith. Of course, the ‘Church’ is partly responsible. At the minimum, preachers need to put more meat in their sermons. Bishops should be news hogging catechists.
