Defending Truth and Tradition in the Roman Catholic Church

While Attendance at St. Anne/Lourdes Declines…

October 5th, 2010, Promulgated by Dr. K

…readership at Cleansing Fire continues to increase every month! This past month, the blog averaged 661 visitors per day. A year ago around this time there were approximately 215 daily readers.

These numbers are something the diocesan leaders should consider if they think that orthodox Catholics  are just some small fringe group of old conservative fogies. More and more people each day are becoming interested in the truth about our faith, and how the DoR has done a poor job at teaching it. Orthodoxy is becoming more widely accepted among the faithful.

Thank you for your support, and continue reading!

  1. LarryD says:

    Congratulations! Of course, with a team of 24 writers, that comes to about 27.5 visits per day per writer. Not so impressive now, is it?!?

    And no, I’m not jealous…not at all. I’m happy with my 400+ visits per day, at my blog that is written by only ONE person…I’m happy for you…really.

    If I say I’m not jealous one more time, will you believe me?

    I’m not jealous.

    Stupid Cleansing Fire…

    j/k 😉

  2. Dr. K says:

    You’re the man, Larry!

  3. Mike says:

    Larry,

    Did you forget to take your meds again?

  4. LarryD says:

    Mike – now that you mention it…

  5. Gen says:

    *Breaks arm after severely back-handing Adolfo* 😉

  6. Adolfo says:

    God bless Bishop Clark, the Shepherd!

  7. Mike says:

    Adolfo,

    Your Shepherd has closed 31% of his parishes and 51% of his Catholic elementary schools and he has also lost 59% of his Catholic school students and 30% of his Mass-attending flock – and that’s just within the last 10 years!

    The Old Testament prophets had words for shepherds whose flocks did not prosper, whose sheep ended up scattered.

    Jeremiah’s was ‘stupid’:

    For thus says the LORD:
    My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken;
    my children have gone from me, and they are not;
    there is no one to spread my tent again, and to set up my curtains.
    For the shepherds are stupid, and do not inquire of the LORD;
    therefore they have not prospered, and all their flock is scattered.
    (Jeremiah 10: 18, 20-21)
