From Zenit c/o Rorate Caeli:
|“Sudanese Cardinal Survives Assassination Attempt
…
The Catholic Information Service for Africa (CISA) reported today that during a Mass held at the Comboni playground in Khartoum, marking the anniversary of the 1881 death of St. Daniele Comboni, a man with a dagger posed as liturgical dancer and managed to come within a few steps of Archbishop Gabriel Cardinal Zubeir Wako.”
Dear Dr. K.,
When I saw the title, I was curious where you were headed. As I read, I understood the joke of the title, but I also am displeased with it. The title given may cause scandal. It is in gratitude that His Eminence has survived this attack. This may be a case to end liturgical dance, period, not a time to use it to show anger at His Excellency Clark.
Not intended as such. The title could just as easily have been any diocese that has liturgical dance.
