Shameless Plug

September 22nd, 2010, Promulgated by Ink

It seems that very few people know about this, but I think it’s cool enough to merit attention.

This Saturday, from 9am to 3pm (so you can make 5pm Mass =P) is the annual Rochester Chesterton Conference.  It is at Saint John Fisher and more information can be found here.

Featured speakers include Dale Ahlquist and Joseph Pearce.

I, for one, am going to be there.  I hope at least a few of you, dear readers, decide to come along.

Ink, I second your shameless plug! This year is the 7th annual conference in Rochester. It is a wonderful day full of enlightenment and good cheer! Come for some or all of the event. Joseph Pearce and Dale Ahlquist will lift your spirits – guaranteed!

Joseph Pearce will also be at St John Bosco Schools on Friday at 3 pm for a tea and a talk on Catholic education.

When I was 9 years old I attended a camp someplace near Utica. Dale Lindquist and his wife Opal ran the camp. Dale taught me how to ride a horse carrying an egg in a spoon at the same time. I won a blue ribbon!! The Lindquist made a big impact on many childrens lives. I think he is/was the President of a very large University.
