Once again Bishop Matthew Clark will be holding “installation Masses” for laywomen pastoral administrators in the Diocese of Rochester. This time there will be made-up installation rituals for Ms. Barbara Swiecki and Sr. Karen Dietz SSJ.
Ms. Swiecki’s outdoor installation Mass (at least this offense will not take place in a house of God):
Sr. Dietz’s installation Mass… err, service:
Enjoy this pesudo-ordination fun while it lasts folks, because 2012 is right around the corner. I have a hunch that these lay administrators will be looking for new jobs in a couple years… God willing.

It seems more like a witchcraft ritual than anything else. I for one will be praying for a severe thunderstorm for August 14th ( but only at Tinker Homestead Park). Yeah! That’s what we’re supposed to do at Mass. Bring lawn chairs and relax. She also forgot to remind people to bring their kneelers. Oh wait! that’s not a great way to relax during Mass.
Imagine a half an hour of confessions for a parish the size of Good Shepherd.
Just think, if they get everyone used to having Mass outside, they can sell off all the churches and rotate Mass through WalMart parking lots around the city…
I think we need a “Make Believe in Rochester” topic tag!
