From the 40DFL coordinator in Rochester:
Hello pro-lifers. The 2010 40 Days for Life Fall Campaign is beginning to get into gear. This year’s campaign will take place from September 22 to October 31 but as you can imagine, there’s needs to a lot of upfront work done before the campaign begins. Rochester is already registered for the fall campaign. If you would like to be a part of the planning team please send an email to roc40dfl@gmail.com l and I will be in touch with you. Right now it looks like the team will be meeting Tuesday nights from 7:00 – 8:00 PM at the Focus Pregnancy Help Center on University Ave starting on July 27th. If you can’t make the meetings but would still like to help, let me know.

QUESTION: Will the DOR be participating?
Hi Richard,
In the past, I don’t believe the DOR has officially participated. I do think they allow for dissemination of flyers, though. But I don’t remember ever seeing anything with an official endorsement of the campaign. Does anyone else know?
Hello,
We have had support from the Life Issues coordinator in the DOR. There aren’t many Dioceses that get too involved in the local campaigns, I’m not sure why. On the other hand, this is really a grassroots movement. We see the best results when one or two people from a parish take it upon themselves to promote and recruit participants at their parish. We’ve had the information sent out to all of the DOR parishes and some of them may put the info on their bulletins but until someone takes the lead at the parish level, nothing much happens.
