You know the progressives are running out of gas when they begin to plagiarize other progressives.
Below is Fr. Ed Palumbos’ rant about married priests from two weeks ago. We commented about it here.
Now take a look at Fr. Mike Bausch’s rant about married priests from this past weekend. With the exception of a couple additions, isn’t it a word-for-word copy of Fr. Palumbos’ article?

Monkey see, monkey do
I think Mike clarified this point before, but isn’t it the case that once ordained, a priest cannot marry (even in the Eastern Rites)? Was this the case before the discipline of celibacy was instituted in the Western Rite? So they want married men to become priest AND priests to be able to marry and remain priests? I just want to be sure because I thought they wanted to implement the Eastern Rite discipline not add something to it.
When there’s only one hobby horse for all the Catholycs to use, it’s not so much ‘plagiarism’ as it’s “using the same play book”.
In the Eastern Rite married men may be ordained priests (but not bishops), but ordained men may not marry. Thus, should the wife of an Eastern Rite priest die, he may not re-marry.
The same applies to Roman Rite permanent deacons, as well as to former Protestants who were ordained as married men.
