Defending Truth and Tradition in the Roman Catholic Church

Like-Minded Heretics

June 4th, 2010, Promulgated by Dr. K

As I informed our dear readers a few days ago, the American Catholic Council will be making a tour stop in the Diocese of Rochester when they hold an assembly at the Rochester Sisters of Mercy Motherhouse this Sunday (as far as I am concerned, the fact that Bishop Clark has not said no to this, gives him imprimatur to the event). This organization has a social network online that I decided I would join to check out what’s going on.

Here is the response I received to my e-application:

“We declined your membership in the Assemblies Community Network because your profile comments were insufficiently transparent to determine your sincere motives in joining our social network. For more information on the ACC’s commitmenet to transparency and privacy, please see attached. Thank you. JF

Talk about a bunch of closed-minded liberals. These people claim to want a true dialogue, but they screen interested members to see if they have sufficient “liberal cred.” I tell you folks, progressives are never interested in a dialogue. Just like the DoR synod was filled with pro-‘Clark agenda’ persons, so too will this event be filled with those who are pro-progressive agenda. The outcome of this so-called Council is already predetermined. They are going to call for women priests, greater lay involvement in the Church, and for laypeople to select their own leaders.

It’s a sham. The whole thing is a sham.

  1. Why don't we ALL try to join. We get the inside scoop and forward it on to you.

You shine the light of day on them and we get get to see them scurry for cover like cockroaches.

Sounds like a plan. Any others interested?

  2. Okay. I don't live within an inch of Rochester, but I'm still up for the challenge!

They would probably let me join!

I have always wanted to be a "double agent"! 🙂

  4. Hey Persis – This is my personal invitation to you and your family to attend the High Mass this Sunday. Sure would like to meet you. Hope you can make it.

Dr K. – I joined earlier in the week. My answer for why I wanted to join the ACN? "I'm interested in learning about the plans of the ACC." I tried to keep it ambiguous yet positive.

Perhaps your reputation proceeds you! :-O

They don't like to be challenged. Like most dissenters, they want on;y like minded people present. When confronted with the truth, they can't give an intelligent answer. But when talking with these people, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

    Choir,
Thanks for the personal invite! 🙂
I am hoping to make it, but I am not too sure, I have a prior engagement that I can't get out of. 🙁
I was actually planning on attending when I found out it would be the last Mass with the Schola until the fall, but I forgot about this other thing I have to attend. Looking forward to getting to St. Stan's soon!
    Peace to you all!
