Yes Gen, It is very beautiful, and we are blessed indeed to have the oratory in Toronto. If you search for Toronto Oratory in Youtube you will see what i mean.
I haven't seen a paten or communion plate in use since the mid 70's when I was an Altar Boy and used them.
Does anyone still use them at Masses other than the during Extraordinary Form Masses?
The paten is used at Our Lady of Victory.
The communion plate is still in use at Holy Cross in Charlotte.
it's also used whenever Fr. Bonsignore says Mass at the Carmelite Monastery, Wednesdays at 7:30AM.
St Thomas the Apostle parish still uses their altar rail and almost all congregants kneel for Communion. There is much pressure to stop this practice.
Is used in HOly Family in Toronto for the Latin Novus Ordo Sung mass. Also they have altar rails so everyone kneels.
How beautiful that must be, Smiley.
