Defending Truth and Tradition in the Roman Catholic Church

2010 Chrism Mass Preview

March 23rd, 2010, Promulgated by Dr. K

The 2010 Diocese of Rochester Chrism Mass will take place next Tuesday at 7:30 PM. The most notable feature of these annual Masses has not been the blessing of the sacred chrisms, but rather the flamboyant liturgical dancing that occurs around the altar both before and during the Holy Mass. In past years we have witnessed ballerinas and gay marriage advocates defile our Cathedral.

Cleansing Fire has been able to discreetly attend the super-secret hush hush rehearsals for the 2010 Chrism Mass. Boy, will you be surprised to see who they have lined up to liturgical dance this year:

Ok, the above is obviously photoshopped and completely fake. Still, history suggests that we’ll see another goofy display once again this year.

That's Thomas Warfield third from the left, right?

  2. Kelly says:

Another option is to travel the thruway to St. Joseph's Cathedral in Buffalo. Chrism Mass begins at 7 pm. It will be worth the drive – promise.

Kelly, no can do. We here in the DoR sold our cars so we could meet the CMA goals.

  4. gretchen says:

Gen, that would that be the carbon footprint goal, right?

Everything suddenly makes sense, Gretchen! I guess BC really does know what he's doing, after all!
