The 2010 Diocese of Rochester Chrism Mass will take place next Tuesday at 7:30 PM. The most notable feature of these annual Masses has not been the blessing of the sacred chrisms, but rather the flamboyant liturgical dancing that occurs around the altar both before and during the Holy Mass. In past years we have witnessed ballerinas and gay marriage advocates defile our Cathedral.
Cleansing Fire has been able to discreetly attend the super-secret hush hush rehearsals for the 2010 Chrism Mass. Boy, will you be surprised to see who they have lined up to liturgical dance this year:

Another option is to travel the thruway to St. Joseph's Cathedral in Buffalo. Chrism Mass begins at 7 pm. It will be worth the drive – promise.
