Ok, I’ll admit right now that I know nothing about the St. Joseph’s House of Hospitality located at 402 South Avenue. However, I do find it very interesting that of the eight religious services that were held there late last year, some were celebrated by excommunicated Spiritus Christi personalities, and some by DoR priests in good standing. Additionally, Chava Redonnet (a Spiritus “deacon”) is listed as a chaplain there.
What’s the deal with this? I hope someone has information. There’s something about Rochester priests/deacons celebrating “ecumenical services” with Spiritus Christi schismatics that is a bit unsettling.

I ended all support for them last year when this started to surface and asked to be taken off their mailing list. I don't consider them "Catholic" anymore – at least not in good standing.
I support Bethany House and the Catholic Family Center's homeless program instead.
Much of the leadership at St. Joseph's House of Hospitality in Rochester have joined Spiritus Christi. I've talked to some of them- they are good people but don't understand the serious error in becoming involved in Spiritus Christi. This is sad because Dorothy Day, the founder of the Catholic Worker movement, as radical as she was, supported and defended Church teaching.
