December 19th, 2009, Promulgated by Choir

The Tridentine Latin Mass will be celebrated on Christmas morning at 8 a.m. (not the usual 1:30 p.m.) at St. Stanislaus Church. The Mass will be celebrated by the Reverend Dennis Bonsignore.

Schola Roffensis will sing the Gregorian chant “Fons Bonitatis” Mass along with Gregorian propers.
Please come and give adoration to God amid the Christmas trees that decorate the total sanctuary.

Any questions, please leave them in the combox and I will answer them.

I will not be attending. I wish I could, but 8:30am is quite early coming from Corning!

BTW, my Schola and I sang for my son Anthony's wedding last Saturday at St Stanislaus. It was a Novus Ordo with chanted ordinary (mass 8) and propers. We chanted Ave Maria and Salve Regina (solemn tone) for the dedication to the Blessed Mother. My goodness what a WONDERFUL place to chant!

  2. CPT Tom…You should have told me so I could have attended. Darn!

Between rehearsals, wedding mayhem and family drama, I thought about it the night before. I'm such a dolt.

Maybe we could put together a Chant Seminar weekend and get the scholas in the diocese together and other interested parties. Topics could be how to implement the reform of the reform, how to manage the front office, exchange of information, and some singing time and learning.

What they do down in Stamford CT is they start Friday afternoon, go all day Saturday concluding with a mass done by the participants.

Drop me a note if you're interested corningcm*at*stny.rr.com

  4. Tom,
I'm not the schola director, but I will let him know about it. Thanks.
