What’s Missing in the Progressive Church?

Humility.

Honestly. Name one instance where you have seen one of the favorite “lay administrators” kneel, genuflect, bow, let alone acknowledge the presence of the Blessed Sacrament?

I think Sr. Joan may genuflect when she looks at herself in the mirror.

There is a priest who must be retired but who helps out with daily Mass at a local parish. He is obviously suffering from problems with his legs. He ALWAYS genuflects after the consecration even though he could take the option of a profound bow. It takes him perhaps a full 30 seconds to complete the genuflection, breaking it down into two actions going down and two going back up. It looks like it must be terribly difficult for him. I guess I know what he believes!

    I bet it's a double genuflection too.

The priest that annoy is referring to must be Fr. McMahon. He has real bad arthritis and when my boys serve for him, they can hear his bones creaking when he genuflects, which he always does. He his a very holy and pious priest.

That comment is petty and personal. When you write things like that, your undermine your credibility, the credibility of this blog, and the credibility of orthodox Catholics.

There are many things she does that we can legitimately criticize, but let's avoid personal attacks. – Ron

What Joe Anonymous writes is not in the control of the blog authors; it is the opinion of this one person.

I believe this anon was criticizing her ego, which has spilled over and contributes to her desire to be a priest, to be at the center of attention, to run a parish, and to give homilies.

Did you ever hear about this thing called the wrath of God? You know it could be harsh at times.

Sister Joan, Bishop Clark, a few DOR priests and many lay pastoral administrators are trying to change the teaching and longtime traditions of the Church. They have no mercy for the poor souls that get in their way or people like us, who are aggressively challenging them.

If you handle them with kid gloves, then you can continue to watch the Diocese of Rochester die right before your eyes.

Sister Joan's negative actions are hurting many parishioners.
