St. Thomas the Apostle Letters

September 4th, 2009, Promulgated by Dr. K

Cleansing Fire has obtained copies of two important St. Thomas the Apostle letters scribed by parishioners who are fighting for their church’s right to exist. The first letter below is the letter that went to Bishop Clark and the Nuncio, among other local leaders. The second letter is an open letter to the people of St. Thomas about the battle for their parish. Please keep the parishioners of St. Thomas and St. Salome in your prayers. 1. Laura says:

Those letters are excellent. I'm glad to see our parishioners standing up early and hard, unlike previous parish closings.

  2. It's time the parishoners stood up to the DoR. Vatican II called for lay-participation; well here it is in all its glory.

Let's see now, how does that old axiom go: "you can fool some of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but, you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

My prayers for the success of the parishioners.

There really wasn't anything that bad in this letter. I don't understand why Fr. Tanck would freak out like he did against the parishioners of St. Thomas. To call them negative and vehement over a search for the truth is inappropriate. Father should apologize, and offer to help these people find a solution to keep St. Thomas open. A true pastor would to this.

  4. Rob says:

The letters are solid, and a good preemptive strike to any finalized closing plans. Give em hell guys.

  5. Anonymous says:

Fight the IPPG, expose their corruption and self-interests, and save your parish. The Internet will expose these frauds for what they really are.

  6. "All power to the people, Right on!" Maybe in this case it would be "Write on"
