Eugene Michael, author and creator of the long-lived “Rochester Catholic“/Credo site and blog, is putting his keyboard off to the side as he pursues business ventures with his wife. Rochester Catholic has been a staple of my daily reading for a few years now, a true treasure in exposing liturgical abuses in Rochester, and promoting good liturgy and orthodoxy. His site has been serving the Rochester community for five years, and along with Mike Brennan’s site (now defunct), it was one of the Rochester originals in taking up this most noble fight for orthodoxy in our local wasteland. You can send Eugene a message of support here: hotline@rochestercatholic.com . I hope that although he is no longer blogging, that he will continue his fight to save St. Tomas the Apostle church, a cause he has spearheaded among the DoR blogging community. The other DoR bloggers will try and pick up the slack, but his well-researched reports are going to be hard to recreate.
Please pray for Mr. Michael, and for the Diocese of Rochester.

He will surely be missed. A Rochester treasure.
