That CMA video was a huge slap in the face to the orthodox and traditional Catholics of the Diocese of Rochester for a few reasons:
1) Bishop Clark delivers his little speech inside of St. Jude the Apostle, a parish that could care less if this man retires tomorrow. There is quite a lengthy history of hostility between Fr. Steger and Bishop Clark that boiled over when Bishop Clark tried to get his hands on the designing of the new St. Jude Church built in 1993. After that, Fr. Steger on several locations criticized the events at Corpus Christi and the Diocese of Rochester's handling of the schism, and he also allowed a petition to be placed in the St. Jude narthex for people to sign in opposition to the Cathedral renovations. Yet this is the church that Bishop Clark uses to kick off his CMA music video.
2) As if beginning at St. Jude were not bad enough, the video ended at St. Stanislaus, the home of the local Latin Mass! And look at that clip, look at the disrespect for the church sanctuary to use it for a choir singing folk rock music, standing within the altar rails before the tabernacle containing the Blessed Sacrament! This is such blasphemy. Why didn't they film this at Church of the Assumption, where that last speaker is a parishioner, rather than St. Stanislaus?
3) A man walking down the aisle of churches and standing on the steps of St. Stanislaus while playing a guitar and singing a folk rock song is disgusting, just plain disgusting. And what is that? The choir is hand-clapping and swaying inside the sanctuary of St. Stanislaus? Really now?
This CMA video could not have been any worse. What would Fr. Bonsignore think of the disrespect shown for St. Stanislaus, a house of God? What would Fr. Lawrence think?

The DOR video is outrageous. They must be trying to send a message with the churches they selected to blaspheme.
I'm adding another Colbert-esque feature to this blog.
Behold the "Cleansing Fire Interdict Board" to the left of the screen.

I'm a bit dyslexic tonight.
I love that music.
