Archbishop Eusebius Beltran, one of the remaining bishops recommended to Pope John Paul II by the liberal Jean Jadot, will reach retirement age this Monday. When his retirement will actually be accepted Pope Benedict XVI is an unknown. As of today, Archbishop Pilarczyk, who turned 75 on August 12th, is still serving the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Cincinnati received a coadjutor earlier this year (Archbishop Dennis Schnurr) who will succeed Archbishop Pilarczyk, most likely late this year after His Excellency commemorates the fiftieth year of his priestly ordination.
