Defending Truth and Tradition in the Roman Catholic Church

On the Topic of Homosexuality…

August 2nd, 2010, Promulgated by Dr. K

Check out this interesting comment from Fr. Robert Kennedy, pastor of Blessed Sacrament and one of the leaders of the local homosexual ministry:

“Thirdly, Paul’s message to Philemon’s household still remains clear to us: we must get beyond whatever cultural boundaries prevent us from treating one another as equals in Christ. This is definitely a counter-cultural message when we consider the diverse social issues that we are trying to decide about in our own time: refugees and illegal immigrants, human and civil rights for gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgendered persons [double emphasis on the ‘transgendered’ and ‘bisexual’ parts], capital punishment, the care of the Earth’s resources and environment”

In case you are wondering, this is the same Fr. Kennedy who co-authored a letter criticizing the Vatican’s treatment of homosexuality: click here.

I am very curious about what kind of civil rights Fr. Kennedy might be suggesting. Is he suggesting homosexual marriage? If so, I think we already know what the Church has to say about that.
